As reported by Christian Falk, former Bayern Munich and Germany head coach Hansi Flick is already preparing for the Barcelona job.
It is understood that the 58-year-old is looking for a new challenge in the summer, and with Xavi stepping down at the end of the season, it is an opening that would appeal to him.
As well as this, according to the report, Flick has already begun learning Spanish in preparation for the potential job.
However, Flick may face competition as Barcelona look to assess their options before they appoint Xavi’s replacement.
As reported by our colleagues at Get Spanish Football News, the Spanish giants have already been seeking a future heir to Xavi’s throne, and current Porto head coach Sérgio Conceição has been given the green light by sporting director Deco.
As well as this, there are a multitude of other names that have been linked with the Barcelona hot seat in recent weeks, such as Jürgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel, and Xabi Alonso.
Therefore, Flick would have to impress if he were to land the job, especially after a poor stint in charge of the German National Team.
