RB Leipzig centre-back Josko Gvardiol has insisted he’s “not in a hurry” to leave Red Bull Arena.
The 20-year-old has been linked with a January move after impressing for Croatia at the World Cup, but wants to finish the season with Leipzig.
“It’s important to finish the season successfully, and the next six months are decisive for that,” Gvardiol told RTL.
Gvardiol added that he and the club want to see “what happens in the future” after the season.
The Croatian international almost left Leipzig for Chelsea last summer, but ‘Die Roten Bullen’ wanted to keep him at all costs.
“We talked, and they told me how much I meant to them. I was happy to hear that. I hope to spend these next six months with them,” noted the centre-back.
