Writing on social media platform X on Saturday afternoon, Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger claims that the injury holding up VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy’s transfer to Dortmund will not require surgery.
The latest news in the ongoing stalled transfer of VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy to Borussia Dortmund tends toward the positive insofar as player and his new prospective club are concerned. Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger reports that Guirassy has seen a specialist in Paris. Berger further notes that the diagnosis rules out the need for surgery. Guirassy’s collateral ligament damage could heal within two to four weeks’ time.
The diagnosis of the French sports surgeon may nevertheless prove to be a moot point as the Stuttgart striker is due back in Dortmund for another evaluation midweek. BVB will decide on whether or not to proceed with the 28-year-old’s purchase based on evaluations from their own internal medical staff. The Westphalians are prepared to invest a reported €18 million in Guirassy and pay him approximately €9 million to suit up for them next season.
