Sky Germany claims that VfL Wolfsburg want to sign Florian Grillitsch, who is available on a free transfer after leaving Hoffenheim at the end of his contract.

‘Die Wölfe’ have identified Grillitsch as a possible replacement for Xaver Schlager, who recently left Volkswagen Arena to join RB Leipzig in a €12 million deal.

Wolfsburg face plenty of competition for the Austrian international’s signature, though, as he has already received numerous lucrative offers form Europe’s top leagues.

Kicker also reports of Wolfsburg’s interest in Grillitsch, but states that ‘Die Wölfe’ are yet to look properly into the possibility of signing the 26-year-old, who is said to be leaning towards finding an employer outside of Germany.
