After a difficult start to the season in which he didn’t play much, Leon Goretzka has become important for Bayern Munich again with Aleksandar Pavlovic and Joao Palhinha out injured.
After Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain that saw Goretzka make his third consecutive start, the midfielder told Prime Video:
“It feels good, of course. I’m here to play football. And I’m always happy when I’m let off the leash.”
Even in the toughest of times, Goretzka didn’t complain about his role in the squad, but kept his head down and worked hard.
“Being professional is a basic requirement for me. That’s how I’ve done it my whole career and I’m not going to change that,” the midfielder stressed.
