According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Gonzalo Villar’s loan move to Getafe is close to being finalised.
Di Marzio reports that the midfielder from Murcia is one step away from returning to the Coliseum. After joining the La Liga side on loan during the second half of last season, the 23-year-old has played 16 of Sampdoria’s 18 games so far this term, eight as a starter and eight as a substitute.
This opens up the possibility for him to return to his home country, and for Getafe to strengthen their engine room. However, Getafe boss Quique Sánchez Flores did not make much use of his services during his last spell with Getafe. In the four months that the midfielder was in Madrid, he only enjoyed two starts.
