It’s been reported in recent days that Valencia will sign Stole Dimitriveski when his contract expires at Rayo Vallecano. The Macedonian international is expected to replace Giorgi Mamardashvili, who has been heavily linked with a summer move to Premier League side Newcastle United.
The domino effect continues in this situation, as Rayo have identified their replacement for Dimitrievski. As per Union Rayo (via MD), contact has already been made with the representatives of Cadiz ‘keeper Jeremias “Conan” Ledesma.
Ledesma is keen to remain in La Liga following Cadiz’s relegation, which was confirmed last weekend. The release clause in his contract has dropped from €15m to €5m because of this, making it significant more affordable for Rayo to get their man.
Ledesma would be a fine pick-up for Rayo Vallecano. The Argentine has performed well for Cadiz in recent years, although it does make sense that he would wish to stay in La Liga, where he is more than capable of playing regularly.
