Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sané have lost their starting places for Bayern Munich after a series of underwhelming performances.
With Sadio Mané’s return from injury only increasing competition for places up front, selling the duo is “no longer unthinkable” if their disappointing performances continue, according to Bild.
However, publicly at least, Sané and Gnabry still have the backing of club president Herbert Hainer.
“Both are very important for Bayern and the team. We need them if we want to achieve our ambitious goals. They are excellent footballers and we are happy to have them with us,” Hainer is quoted as saying by Bild.
Sané’s contract expires in 2025, while Serge Gnabry is out of contract in 2026.
