Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Rocco Reitz has extended his contract, which was due to expire next year, until 2026.
The extension comes after a start to the season that has seen Reitz step up in importance, starting the last two games.
“Rocco has really earned this considering his development in the past few months. He is a very ambitious player with a top mentality, who has also made an important step in footballing terms. And last but not least, I’m really happy that he’s a local boy who came to Borussia at the age of seven,” said Gladbach managing director for sport Roland Virkus.
Reitz, 21, commented:
“I’m very happy to have extended my contract. I’ve spent more than half my life at Borussia and the club has been my second home for a long time. It makes me proud that I can live my dreams here and I’m thankful for that.”
