Borussia Mönchengladbach will have to manage without Nathan Ngoumou for the rest of the season.
The 25-year-old has suffered an Achilles tendon rupture, the Bundesliga outfit announced on Monday.
Ngoumou sustained the injury while completing top-up runs after Gladbach’s 1-1 draw with FC St. Pauli on Sunday.
“This is obviously sad news for us and especially for Nathan,” said Borussia Mönchengladbach board member for sport Roland Virkus.
“He will get all the support he needs from us to recover as quickly as he can and get back out on the pitch.”
