While Gladbach have recently signed Jonas Hofmann and Alassane Plea to contract extensions, the club are still concerned about Marcus Thuram’s future. In turn, an offer of €8 million for 25-year-old winger Franck Honorat has been declined because Stade Brest feel the price is too low.
Honorat usually plays on the right wing, but can shift deeper into midfield. He’s made 71 appearances in just a couple seasons at Brest to produce 19 goals and 12 assists in Ligue 1 action. Gladbach are on the lookout for Thuram’s replacement, as his contract only runs until the summer of 2023.
Honorat’s current contract expires in 2025.
