La Liga outfit Girona have on Wednesday tied up a deal for a fresh addition to the club’s goalkeeper ranks.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Pau López as the player all set to take his talents to the Estadi Montilivi.
López, for his part, was recently made surplus to requirements at parent club Olympique Marsille.
This came upon the Ligue 1 giants closing a deal for Ajax shot-stopper Geronimo Rulli.
The transfer team at the aforementioned Girona, in turn, moved decisively to tie up a deal for López, amid ongoing efforts to secure reinforcements between the posts.
And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, such efforts on the part of the Catalans have borne fruit.
As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:
‘Girona have agreed [a] deal to sign Pau López from Olympique Marseille on loan with buy option.’
The Girona brass have agreed to cover the entirety of the Spaniard’s wages, with their option to buy López having been set at €6.5 million.
