Sky Germany reports that Rafal Gikiewicz’s contract with Augsburg will be automatically extended when he makes his 25th league appearance this season.

Rafael Gikiewicz has been linked with a move away from Augsburg for a while, but it now looks as though he will remain at the club.

According to Sky Germany, the Polish goalkeeper’s expiring contract will be automatically extended if he makes 25 Bundesliga appearances this season.

The 35-year-old has already played 20 times for Augsburg in the league through the 2022/23 campaign.

Although he has signed with a new agency called Wasserman, Gikiewicz is keen to stay at the Bundesliga club, according to the report.
