Gigio Donnarumma set for medical in Florence ahead of Manchester City move

Italy star and Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gigio Donnarumma is set to have a medical in Florence ahead of his transfer to Manchester City.

The two parties have been speaking for days now about a switch but a deal now seems done, with the goalkeeper heading to the Etihad.

Tuttomercatoweb report that Donnarumma, fresh from his morning training session at Coverciano, has left the federal training center to undergo a medical on behalf of the English club. This medical will take place in Florence itself.

At his side is his agent, Enzo Raiola, who joined him shortly after lunch and is accompanying him through these final stages of the operation. Once the physical and medical tests are complete, Donnarumma will sign the contract that will bind him to Pep Guardiola’s team, thus completing one of the most sensational deals of this transfer window.

The agreement between PSG and City is now finalized: the deal will be closed for a fee of €28 million plus bonuses, after the Parisians—bolstered by the €40 million acquisition of Lucas Chevalier from Lille—decided to lower their asking price to facilitate the transfer. A five-year contract with the option for a sixth season is ready for the former AC Milan player.
