Gianluigi Donnarumma would be open to moving to Bayern Munich or Real Madrid, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
After winning the Champions League with PSG, the 26-year-old goalkeeper is now considering a new challenge in a different country.
Considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world, Donnarumma would not be short of options should he let his contract run out next summer.
The player’s early indications include a move to the Bundesliga or La Liga with either Bayern or Real, respectively.
Manuel Neuer Replacement?
Should Donnarumma opt to go to Bayern, the Italian international would serve as the ideal replacement for Manuel Neuer, who could very well retire at the end of next season.
The Bundesliga champions recently brought in youngster Jonas Urbig from FC Köln this winter with the idea that the 21-year-old would work as an apprentice to Neuer.
However, should Donnarumma come to the club, he could, in theory, serve as Bayern’s next number one for many years to come.
Should the Italian move as a free agent next summer, it will surely be one of the biggest coups for any club, considering the player has a market value of €40m.
