Granada’s relegation to the Segunda División has opened the door for the potential departure of central midfielder Luis Milla, as per Marca.
The midfielder has informed Granada of his intention to leave but the club are holding out for an offer of €10 million. The Andalusian side purchased Milla from Tenerife in 2020 for €5 million, and are determined to gain a substantial profit on one of their most valuable assets. Granada’s reluctance to reduce the asking price has dissuaded clubs like Osasuna, Espanyol and Valencia to continue their pursuit of Milla.
Getafe and Sevilla are the present front-runners for Milla’s signature. The former have already met with the player’s representatives with their offer. Granada’s lofty asking price, however, remains the big obstacle for Los Azulones.
Milla enjoyed a fruitful season in 2021/22 for Granada in the top flight, contributing three goals and a further three assists in 34 games from midfield.
