La Liga outfit Getafe have on Monday announced the club’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
The latest player to have linked up with the Azulones with a view to next season? Alex Sola.
Versatile defender/winger Sola spent this past season out on loan away from parent club Real Sociedad, with Deportivo Alavés.
And his stint in Vitoria-Gasteiz proved a largely productive one, with the 25-year-old having racked up 29 La Liga appearances, chipping in with three assists along the way.
Such exploits are understood to have piqued the attentions of a number of clubs across the Spanish top-flight, in the knowledge that Real Sociedad were not opposed to a sale.
And, as alluded to above, on Monday, one such club have won out in the race for Sola’s signature.
As per a statement across their website and social media platforms, the Spaniard has put pen to paper on terms with Getafe, through the summer of 2027:
‘Getafe CF and Real Sociedad have reached an agreement for the transfer of San Sebastian right winger Álex Sola, who has signed as a blue player for the next 3 seasons.’
This marks the Azulones’ fourth addition of the summer window, after Chrisantus Uche, Peter Federico, and Jiří Letáček.
