Chelsea are reportedly keeping a close eye on the development of Georginio Rutter after an impressive season at Brighton.
The talented 22-year-old is really starting to make a name for himself in the Premier League, and it seems his performances could earn him a big move soon.
Chelsea are known for their policy of signing the world’s best young players, and it seems they’re now keen to consider Rutter as a serious option.
See below as Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg posts about Chelsea’s interest in Rutter on X, describing him as “one to watch” and a player on the Blues’ list for upcoming transfer windows…

Rutter has an impressive record of eight goals and four assists in total this season, and one imagines he could get even better numbers with better players around him.
The Frenchman is surely too good to stay at Brighton for much longer, and he’d likely see Chelsea as a significant step up in his career.
Georginio Rutter transfer could see Chelsea raid Brighton yet again

We’ve seen Chelsea raid Brighton a few times in the last few years, and it would be fair to say it’s produced only mixed results.
Moises Caicedo has proven a fantastic signing for CFC, but others like Marc Cucurella and Robert Sanchez have been less convincing.
Meanwhile, Graham Potter also proved a really poor appointment for the west London giants when they hired him after his fine work with the Seagulls.
Rutter looks like he has what it takes to enjoy a fine career at the highest level, but there are no guarantees in this game.
Like Cucurella and Sanchez, it might be that Rutter would struggle with such a big step up to Chelsea, where there’s a lot more pressure from the fans to deliver immediate success.
