According to Foot Mercato’s reporter Santi Aouna, Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart are interested in signing AS Monaco’s striker George Ilenikhena. The reports mentioned that Frankfurt are currently leading the race.
Monaco are discussing an initial loan deal with an option to buy in excess of €25 million with Frankfurt. The Ligue 1 club signed the player 18 months ago from Royal Antwerp for €18.75 million.
He has only scored five goals for Monaco in 36 Ligue 1 appearances. With fierce competition for places in Monaco’s attacking line, the Nigerian could be tempted by a change of scenery for the second half of the season. The 19-year-old is yet to be called up by the Nigerian national team.
