German footballing journalist Stephan van Nocks of Kicker Magazine reports that Spanish defensive midfielder Aleix Garcia has arrived in Leverkusen for his medical.
A transfer that some recent reports suggested might be on the brink of collapse is now apparently a done deal. Stephan van Nocks – the Bayer 04 Leverkusen correspondent for Germany’s Kicker Magazine – reports that Spanish midfielder Aleix Garcia has arrived in Leverkusen for his medical. Van Nocks reports that Germany’s red company team and FC Girona have come to an agreement on a €18 million transfer fee.
The 26-year-old twice-capped Spanish international was also targeted by EPL side West Ham United. Van Nocks reported yesterday that Girona dropped negotiations with the London club yesterday due to an inability to come to terms. The German Champions were thus able to close the deal for a player they’ve targeted for quite some time.
