Serie A side Juventus fell to a 5-2 defeat to Galatasaray last week and Teun Koopmeiners found the net in that game. The versatile midfielder is now emerging as a target for the Turkish side.
The Dutchman is expected to feature in the second leg this week and this is likely to give Gala a good chance to keep an eye on the player.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that his brace a week ago has put Koopmeiners back on Galatasaray’s radar. They had tried to sign the Netherlands international in January but the player wasn’t keen on the deal back then, as he wanted to turn things around Juventus.
The Bianconeri are still hoping that he takes himself to his Atalanta levels. He has shown quite a bit of availability and versatility under Luciano Spalletti, who is believed to be a fan of the player. But more is needed for Koopmeiners to prove that he was worth the big-money that was shelled out for him.
This can prove key for Galatasaray, especially if they decide to make a formal summer move.
