Galatasaray interested in West Ham target Elye Wahi

Elye Wahi’s (22) future at Olympique de Marseille could be in doubt only six months after he arrived at the club during the summer transfer window.

The Frenchman was a marquee signing for Les Phocéens and was brought in to be the starting number nine at the club. However, he has struggled to justify his €30 million transfer fee having only scored three goals since his move from RC Lens.

Despite his troubles, interest in the striker has remained high. West Ham United are reportedly interested in bringing the striker to the Premier League on loan with a near-mandatory purchase option for €25 million.

Elye Wahi tied to Marseille until 2029

The London club face some competition for the Frenchman. Galatasaray have been in search of a striker this winter and according to L’Équipe want to negotiate a paid loan with an option to purchase.

The former Montpellier HSC and RC Lens striker has a contract with Marseille lasting until 2029.
