Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo (25) is yet to seal his transfer to AS Monaco, despite agreeing personal terms with Les Monégasques weeks ago.
The English defender is entering his final year of contract with the Cottagers. According to a report from RMC Sport, Marco Silva’s side are reluctant to sell Adarabioyo to the Ligue 1 side as they would rather make a deal with Tottenham Hotspur in order to bring Eric Dier to Craven Cottage. The French outlet understands that the relationship between Fulham and Tottenham is fluid. Besides, the England international is reportedly the Portuguese manager’s choice to bolster Fulham’s defence. The London-based club suffered a home 3-0 Premier League defeat against Brentford last Saturday.
Monaco has previously seen a €10m bid rejected by Fulham for Tosin Adarabioyo. According to Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano, the current Ligue 1 leaders are preparing a new formal bid to their Fulham counterparts. The Principality side reportedly consider Adarabioyo as a priority target to bolster their options at centre-back. Adi Hütter’s side already brought in Mohammed Salisu and Wilfried Singo, but they had to field Denis Zakaria in defence against Strasbourg yesterday.
