Fulham are among several clubs from the Premier League that have signalled an interest in signing Union Berlin’s Josip Juranović (28), according to Kicker. The Croatian, although comfortable in Berlin, is reportedly unhappy with his playing time.
Veteran Christopher Trimmel (36) started ahead of Juranović as Union beat Mainz 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. Although the former Celtic defender only found a place on the bench, Kicker note that a departure is probably unlikely as we enter the latter stages of the transfer window, because he still feels comfortable at the club.
Since his move from Celtic in January 2022 for just over €8.5m, Juranović has played 19 games across all competitions for Die Eisernen, scoring four and creating three. As Union head into a Champions League campaign, squad depth is key and the Croatian international will no doubt get the playing time that he desires this season.
