Despite being linked with a move away from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, Jeremie Frimpong ended up staying put, with his €50 million price tag likely putting off suitors.
The 22-year-old Dutchman is now in his third season with Leverkusen – and he’s far from ruling out a long-term stay.
“I enjoy being on the pitch every day with the other guys,” Frimpong told Kicker.
“We have a great team that is fun to play with. Of course, I can imagine playing with them for a long time to come.
“When the season started, I played with a smile on my face. I’m happy here.”
The attacking right-back has scored two goals and provided three assists in four appearances for the Werkself so far this season.
