Freiburg to park Siquet in Denmark?

Danish tabloid “Ekstra Bladet” reports that German trainer Uwe Rösler and Aarhus AGF may be willing to take Hugo Siquet of SC Freiburg’s hands for the duration of the season.

In the search for a loan-locale for SC Freiburg’s expensive investment at the right fullback position, there’s been little to no chatter in the German rumor mills. A report appearing today in Denmark’s “Ekstra Bladet” tabloid does suggest there may be a link to Superliga side AGF Aarhus.

The Danish tabloid cites no specifics on negotiations or offers, but it would make sense that Aarhus’ German trainer Uwe Rösler (most recently active as the head-coach of Fortuna Düsseldorf for 18 months) would direct the eyes of club management towards his southern contacts.

A loan-out for Siquet practically counts as a given. The expensive former Standard Liege standout presently sits third (or perhaps even fourth) on the SCF depth chart at the right fullback position. French phenom Kiliann Sildillia, the recently re-signed Lukas Kübler, and potential come-backer Jonathan Schmid can all expect minutes ahead of him.
