On Thursday evening, the RheinMain Adler announced that they had signed another Ecuadorian central defender to a long-term-deal. Davis Carlos Bautista Medina joins Frankfurt from the youth academy of SD Aucas Quito.

The teenager will report directly to the reserves and may potentially be loaned out. “Davis is a very talented player who we undoubtedly trust to make the ambitious leap from South America to Europe,” Hardung is quoted as saying in a club statement, “We want to build him up step by step and help him realize his potential for the Bundesliga. With a view to regular competitive practice, we could initially consider a loan.”
