Eintracht Frankfurt are closing in on their first summer signing, having reached a personal agreement with Stade Reims winger Mamadou Diakhon, according to Belgian transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri.

The 19-year-old French U20 international has enjoyed a breakthrough season in Ligue 1, making 28 appearances for Reims, with three goals and two assists to his name. Known for his pace and direct style, Diakhon is seen as a raw but promising talent who could bolster Frankfurt’s flanks next season.
While personal terms have reportedly been agreed, the two clubs have yet to finalise the transfer fee. Reims are said to be demanding €10 million, with negotiations expected to begin soon.
Diakhon’s current contract with Reims was initially set to run until 2026 but is believed to have automatically extended to 2027 due to a performance-related clause. The winger came through the club’s youth system and earned his first-team breakthrough this season.
Eintracht sporting director Markus Krösche continues to tap into the French market for emerging talent, having previously brought in the likes of Randal Kolo Muani from Ligue 1.
Should the deal go through, Diakhon would become the latest in a string of youthful additions aimed at shaping the next phase of Frankfurt’s long-term project.
