Eintracht Frankfurt opted to exercise their purchase option on Jens Petter Hauge this summer. Even after the SGE shelled out a reported €10 million for the 22-year-old, however, it appears as if the Norwegian attacker doesn’t fit into trainer Oliver Glasner’s plans for the new season. Glasner feels comfortable with his other options in attacking midfield. It is such that the club are preparing to send Hauge to KAA Gent.

Hauge was absent from the Frankfurt bench squad during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Hertha. According to Christopher Michel of German broadcaster Sport1, this is because a loan deal to the Belgian club is being finalized. The Hessians still plan to hold on to their young prospect. Michel notes that the deal will not contain a purchase option. Die Adler will expect him back in SGE colors next year.
