Die Adler are far from his only suitors though, with the report also mentioning Atalanta as an interested club.
Additionally, Napoli, Bologna and Borussia Dortmund are said to be keeping tabs on the 23-year-old, who can also play at left-back and in a central role.
According to Sky Germany, the 23-year-old Austrian international would cost around €10-12 million.
Meanwhile, Eintracht are also being linked with a move for Leeds United right-back Rasmus Nissen Kristensen.
According to Italian transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, Eintracht have the 27-year-old, who spent last season on loan at AS Roma, on their shortlist.
