Germany’s main sporting tabloid reports that some concerns about potential lingering knee issues have held up Junior Dina-Ebimbe’s transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt.
After a bit of discussion and debate between the club’s medical staff and club management, however, the deal will still be made official today.

A long ago reported upon transfer should finally be through after Eintracht Frankfurt’s managerial team has decided that knee problems afflicting Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe are not worth nixing the deal over. Although Frankfurt and PSG have reportedly been in agreement over the move since earlier this week, official confirmation of the deal has been held up (according to Germany’s Sport Bild) because the SGE medical team expressed some concern over abnormalities in the left knee of the midfielder.
The German tabloid claimed yesterday that such concerns threatened to sink the deal, but now says that management overruled the medical team and the 21-year-old’s medical has been declared passed. The details of the deal remain a bit murky, with some sources suggesting a complex extension/loan/re-sale agreement whilst others say an outright purchase will be announced.
In any event, confirmation should be forthcoming today.
