According to Bild information, former Bayern Munich and France star Frank Ribéry is set to return back to the Bundesliga club under a new role.
As per the report, the 39-year-old is set to become a club ambassador. Initial talks have already taken place between both sets of representatives and are going well. As an ambassador, the treble title winner of 2013 will take on representative tasks for Bayern in the future. Ribéry is not the first former player to take this role with players such as Giovane Elber (50) and Claudio Pizarro (44) having already taken up the same job for the club.
Since retiring in October due to recurring knee injuries, Ribéry has been working as an assistant coach for Italian side US Salernitana who currently sit 12th.
It doesn’t seem a matter of if but rather when Ribéry will take up his new role at Bayern.
