Franck Haise confirms his move to OGC Nice

Franck Haise has told AFP that he is indeed set to replace Francesco Farioli as manager at OGC Nice, as was initially reported by L’Équipe.

As expected, Farioli left Nice to join Ajax earlier this month. The Italian left after just one season at the Allianz Riviera, during which he guided the club back to Europe thanks to a fifth-place finish in Ligue 1. Whilst former Stade Rennais manager Bruno Genesio was the original frontrunner for the role, Haise emerged as the favourite in recent days.

The Frenchman reportedly told the hierarchy that, amidst behind-the-scenes changes at Les Sang et Or, he wished to leave the club that he led to a second-place finish in Ligue 1 in the 2022/23 season. An agreement between Haise, Lens and Nice was met on Tuesday, according to L’Équipe.

AFP then reported that Haise had confirmed the upcoming move to OGC Nice when contacted by the news agency. According to La Voix du Nord, Haise will sign a two-year deal with Le Gym.
