Franck Haise is expected to officially leave his post as Nice head coach on Wednesday, on the back of the violent scenes outside the Ligue 1 club’s training ground on Sunday night. Les Aiglons are in disarray after suffering a sixth defeat on the bounce. On Sunday, 400 Nice fans gathered outside the training ground to make their ire felt. Players have reportedly been struck, and several of them even tasked their agent to find themselves a way out of the INEOS-owned Riviera-based club.
Now, Nice-Matin can reveal that Haise is close to reaching an agreement with the club’s owners over an early dismissal, only a few months after extending his contract until 2029. The outlet adds that the former RC Lens head coach will announce his exit to his players on Wednesday. Haise no longer gets along with club president Fabrice Bocquet, and the club higher-ups have reconsidered their stance after Haise himself offered to leave the club.
Academy director Julien Sablé is expected to lead Nice’s senior squad for Les Aiglons’ game against Angers on Sunday.
