After exceeding expectations this season, Union Berlin may find it difficult to keep their squad together when the summer transfer window opens.
In particular, four of their key players have been linked with moves away from the German capital: Sheraldo Becker, Rani Khedira, Robin Knoche and Danilho Doekhi.
Becker, whose contract expires in 2025, already attracted interest from England in January, with Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Everton said to be monitoring his situation.
The 28-year-old attacker, who is valued at around €15 million, could see his annual salary of around €1.5-2 million double if he joins England.
Khedira, who is 29 and the club’s captain, is out of contract at the end of the season and has attracted interest from Everton, Leicester City, Newcastle and Wolverhampton.
Knoche is being scouted by clubs in England and Italy, but is likely to stay if Union qualify for the Champions League, according to Sport Bild. The 30-year-old center back’s contract expires in 2024.
Doekhi, who only joined from Vitesse Arnheim last summer on a deal until 2025, is reportedly being monitored by AS Roma.
Union are currently fourth in the Bundesliga, level on points with third-placed RB Leipzig and fifth-placed Freiburg.
