It seems like it just wasn’t supposed to be: Sacha Boey had bad luck with injuries and was never really able to show his qualities in a Bayern Munich shirt. Now he’s rumoured to leave the club after those 18 difficult months.
Bayern will be looking to get some of the €30 million back which they paid for Boey in January 2024 – but where could the rightback be heading now?
Transfer insider Sacha Tavolieri names four options for Boey’s next destination: The first one is his former club Galatasaray, for which Boey has played 83 games in the past.
Besides the Turkish team, a transfer to Boey’s home country France seems like a likely option: OGC Nice, Olympique Marseille and Olympique Lyon have reportedly shown interest in securing the Frenchman’s services for the upcoming season.
Boey has already played in Ligue 1 before, featuring 12 times for Stade Rennais and 24 times for Dijon. In 18 months at Bayern Munich, he was only able to play in 17 games. Boey’s current contract runs until June 2028.
