Fiorentina’s move for former Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch has suffered a setback.
The midfielder’s agent was in Italy some days and the purpose was to meet La Viola and hold talks about a summer move. Firenze Viola have claimed that Grillitsch’s father, who has always been a reference point in the midfielder’s career, has played a role in holding the move. The specific reason is not mentioned but a decision by his father has held the move up.
This comes after a meeting between the two parties was held on Monday earlier this week. During that meeting, Fiorentina were blown away by the request of a personal bonus of €2 million to the Austrian at the time of the signature. This produced question marks over the move.
The midfielder’s contract at Hoffenheim expired at the end of May and he had made his decision clear to the club that he will not sign a new deal.
