Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso is yet to give his approval for Nico Gonzalez’s sale to Leicester City this month.
The Foxes had made an offer for the Argentine but talks are ongoing with La Viola, with personal terms already agreed between the player, his entourage and the Foxes.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that there remains a gap between Fiorentina’s valuation and what Leicester are offering right now for the transfer fee. Commisso is also yet to give his approval to the Argentine’s sale this month.
The key point for negotiations remains the solidarity fee that Fiorentina would have to pay to Stuttgart and Argentinos Junior because those are Gonzalez’s former clubs. 5 percent of the transfer fees will go to those clubs and talks remain ongoing to make sure that Fiorentina earn a good amount for themselves from the sale.
Josip Brekalo remains an option for Fiorentina to replace Gonzalez and Riccardo Orsolini has also become an option.
