Feyenoord boss Arne Slot willing to become new Tottenham Hotspur manager

Feyenoord boss Arne Slot is reportedly open to become Tottenham Hotspur’s new manager.

Spurs have been without a permanent manager since they sacked Antonio Conte following his stunning rant at owner Daniel Levy.

They put Cristian Stellini in temporary charge of the club but the Italian was also dismissed after the 6-1 thrashing at Newcastle United.

Ryan Mason has now been serving as interim boss, with results also highly disappointing under the 31-year-old.

The North Londoners are now in serious danger of even missing out on a spot in next season’s Europa League.

However, Tottenham have received a boost in their pursuit of Arne Slot who is reportedly keen to become their new manager.

This is according to Dutch outlet De Telegraaf who are claiming the 44-year-old has a £6 million release clause in his current deal at the club.

Slot has earned a lot of praise for his impressive work in the Netherlands with AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord.

He led his side to the Eredivisie title earlier this month following their comfortable victory over Go Ahead Eagles. Thus, they broke the dominance of Ajax who lifted the previous three league titles.

Slot also guided De Stadionclub to the Europa Conference League final last season before making it to the Europa League quarter-finals this year. On both occasions, their journey in the European competitions was ended by AS Roma.

Julian Nagelsmann was also linked with the vacant job at Tottenham but the German is reportedly now out of the race.
