Gladbach forward Marcus Thuram is expected to be fit for Wednesday’s Bundesliga clash with Augsburg after shaking off a knee problem.
Borussia Mönchengladbach have been boosted by the return to training of Marcus Thuram ahead of their mid-week clash with Augsburg.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Gladbach coach Daniel Farke revealed that the Frenchman should be fit to play after shaking off the knee injury that kept him out of Sunday’s 2-3 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen.
“With regard to Marcus Thuram, we’re cautiously optimistic. He was able to train with the team today and made a good impression,” said Farke.
“If nothing more happens in the next 24 hours, he will probably be there in Augsburg.”
Thuram has scored 10 goals in 15 Bundesliga matches this season.
