Everton Hold Talks to Sign Burnley Star Jaidon Anthony in Late Deal

Everton are among a host of Premier League clubs interested in signing Burnley forward Jaidon Anthony ahead of the transfer deadline, according to reports.

The Toffees have reportedly held preliminary talks to gauge the financial requirements for the 26-year-old winger, who is also being eyed by Fulham and Leeds United.

Burnley are reluctant to part ways with Anthony mid-season and consider the forward ‘indispensable’ after signing him from Bournemouth last summer.

The Clarets are in a strong negotiating position, with Anthony’s contract running until the end of the 2029/30 season.

According to SportsBoom, Burnley are adamant about not selling Anthony ahead of the transfer deadline amid their ongoing relegation battle.

The Turf Moor side view the ‘incredible’ 26-year-old as essential to their survival hopes and are expected to demand at least £21–25m for any potential sale this window.

Several Premier League clubs have reportedly been in active contact with Burnley, with Everton among those holding preliminary talks to gauge the finances involved in a potential deal.

As it stands, Anthony is unlikely to leave in the final days of the January window, but a summer exit could be on the cards if Burnley are relegated.

Everton could be seeking to add more firepower up front in the final days of the market, having endured a fairly quiet winter window so far.

David Moyes’ side have yet to welcome any new signings this month, despite their worrying run of results, with just two wins in their last eight Premier League games.

Dwight McNeil Wanted by Forest

Nottingham Forest are eyeing a late move for Everton star Dwight McNeil ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline, according to reports.

The City Ground side are reportedly looking to reunite Dyche with the forward but face a difficult round of negotiations.

Everton would only allow McNeil to leave if they can sign a replacement, as they are unwilling to trim their attacking options following Jack Grealish’s season-ending injury.

McNeil has made 18 appearances across all competitions this season, including seven starts in the Premier League.
