Everton could look to complete one of the moves of the summer at the end of the season, according to reports – with inform Fulham man Harry Wilson being on their radar.
The Toffees have had a revival this season under David Moyes, straying away from their usual Premier League relegation woes with a series of impressive results, namely beating Manchester United and Aston Villa away from home in recent times.
That has given them the front foot in terms of potential deals in the transfer window, and that could see Harry Wilson join the Toffees in the coming weeks and months.
Report: Everton ‘Ready to Battle’ Other Premier League Clubs For Harry Wilson
The report by TEAMtalk states that Everton are ready to battle other Premier League clubs in the race to sign Fulham star Harry Wilson – with the Welshman eyeing a shock move away from Craven Cottage.
Wilson has stolen the show for Fulham this season with some strong output, and an incredible goal catalogue to match. Some superb strikes against Tottenham Hotspur, Burnley, Crystal Palace and Chelsea have seen him become one of the most sought-after stars in the Premier League, having notched seven goals and four assists in just 21 games for the west London outfit.
However, Wilson has just six months left on his contract, and he will be available on a free this summer. That, alongside being brought up in Wrexham and joining Liverpool’s academy as an eight-year-old, means he is keen to move back to the north of England with a wealth of options available to him.
Although he only made two senior appearances for Liverpool, Wilson could be convinced to move back to Merseyside, despite Leeds, Sunderland and Nottingham Forest taking an interest in his talents.
With Jack Grealish potentially heading back to Manchester City at the end of the season if Everton don’t opt to make his loan deal permanent, there may be a space on the wings for Wilson – dubbed ‘one of the best players in the final third’ in the Premier League – to thrive.
Harry Wilson Would be Ideal for Everton on their Right Wing Next Season
Iliman Ndiaye could move over to the left-hand side to take Grealish’s spot, leaving a left-footed winger to operate from the right coming into Everton’s ranks.
Wilson would suit that mould incredibly, battling Tyler Dibling for minutes on the right-hand side, whilst Dwight McNeil would act as Ndiaye’s backup on the left flank. That cohort of wingers is impressive and could easily fire Everton into the top half of the Premier League table.
Wilson, who will be 29 once his contract expires, could look to move back up north for a huge final payday contract if he does sign with the Toffees and his Premier League experience will be handy in achieving that.
