Barcelona defender Eric García admitted that “we made mistakes that at this level you can’t make” in his post-match interview with Movistar+.
The Catalan centre-back was satisfied with the first half of his side’s 3-3 draw with Inter on Wednesday, saying “we were where we wanted to be, pressing high, winning balls and we wanted to continue in the same way, but in the second half there was a lack of control and we took the risk of playing with three at the back with 15 minutes to go and that killed us”.
He added: “We fought until the end to get the draw and while there is still hope we have to keep going. We had a huge opportunity and we didn’t take it”.
