VfB Stuttgart have announced that striker El Bilal Touré will miss several months for the club as he undergoes surgery on an injury picked up on international duty.
Touré fractured the metatarsal in his foot while on international duty with Mali. As the injury needs surgery, the striker will miss several months.
This adds to Stuttgart’s injury issues up front, as it was announced earlier in the week that Deniz Undav will likely miss the remainder of the year due to a muscular injury he picked up before the international break. At the same time, Jamie Leweling is also currently out injured as well.
Midfield dynamo Angelo Stiller is also a doubt as he struggles with injury problems he picked up on international duty with Germany.
Later today, Stuttgart host Bochum as they return to Bundesliga action. VfB will have to rely on Fabian Rieder, Nick Woltemade and potentially even Justin Diehl to step up as Stuttgart have a favourable run of fixtures heading towards the winter break.
