As reported by Sport1, Eintracht Frankfurt are demanding around €12m for Rafael Borré to leave the club.
It has been known since November that Borré is unhappy with his reduced role this season at Frankfurt. Fuel was added to the fire recently when his agent spoke to Argentine outlet TyC Sports about the situation: “He is not respected, River Plate has tried to get him on loan and we are currently negotiating.” His agent added: “Borré is looking forward to returning to River. It would be very good for him to return to River.”
It is known that the Colombian will not return to River Plate any time soon, even on a loan. If Borré really wants to leave Frankfurt then it must be a permanent transfer and as he has a contract that expires in 2025, the fee will be at least €12m.
The 27-year-old joined Frankfurt on a free transfer from River Plate in 2021, he was key in Frankfurt’s Europa League win scoring the winning penalty in the shootout against Rangers. This season, he has only played 23 times this season, mostly coming off the bench due to the form of Randal Kolo Muani.
Frankfurt are currently in Abu Dhabi for their winter training camp before beginning the year against Schalke.
