With a likely upheaval of players in the summer, Eintracht Frankfurt are already looking at replacements. One of those is Wolfsburg’s Omar Marmoush, reports Sport1.
The Egyptian is unlikely to extend his contract at Wolfsburg which expires in the summer. This is due to Marmoush’s financial demands being more than what Wolfsburg were willing to pay him. Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach have also shown interest in the 24-year-old.
Marmoush is flexible and can be used across the attacking line and the fact he is 24 also gives room for development. The attacker has played 19 times this season for Wolfsburg rotating between the starting 11 and the bench. He has scored three goals this season.
Frankfurt have begun looking at signing free agents as a new strategy under Markus Krösche. It is a low cost way to acquire players and has proven partially successful so far with the likes of Randal Kolo Muani joining from Nantes. While Rafael Borré and Aurélio Buta have also been able to positively contribute since their signings.
