After a 1-0 win against Chelsea in the Champions League, Borussia Dortmund maintain their 100 percent record in 2023 which includes five successive Bundesliga wins and a win against Bochum in the DFB Pokal. Edin Terzic spoke to media on Friday ahead of BVB’s game against Hertha Berlin.
When asked about the team’s self-confidence, Terzic said: “One or the other seems a little easier with self-confidence. And you can tell. It’s much more important that you feel the intensity and the energy but we must not rest on our laurels. I can see that the guys are willing to invest everything.”
There’s still another training session before Sunday’s game but not much has changed in terms of personnel. Youssoufa Moukoko, Julien Duranville and Mateu Morey are all sidelined and all other players are available for the Hertha Berlin game.
Terzic also praised Emre Can, who has been excellent of late: “He leads the way and he does it really well,” added Terzic. Can scored Dortmund’s opening goal in the DFB Pokal, and also cleared an effort off the line in their 1-0 win against Chelsea on Wednesday night.
Heading into the weekend’s fixtures, Borussia Dortmund are just three points behind leaders Bayern Munich, who play Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday afternoon.
