Summary
- The Ligue 1 TOTS is expected to be released on Friday, May 16th in EAFC 25.
- PSG are set to dominate the squad as they cruise to the league title.
- Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will be the most sought-after players.
Ligue 1 is often branded as a “farmers league”. It’s normally one-sided, with Paris Saint-Germain cruising to the title whilst the clubs below them, often Marseille, Monaco and Lyon, battle it out for second place and a route into the UEFA Champions League. That’s been the case this year.
PSG are cruising to the title, but – with the season nearly over – thoughts are starting to turn towards deciding the Team of the Season (TOTS) in real life and EA Sports FC 25. With PSG miles clear in the race for domestic glory, they unsurprisingly dominate the list. Their victory against Liverpool showed they are now a ‘team’ instead of a squad of individuals.
In EAFC 25, the promo celebrates the league’s best-performing players from the season, giving them boosted cards that are all considered ‘meta’. We have decided to try and predict the Ligue 1 TOTS, which is expected to be released on Friday, May 16th. We’ve outlined the main starting 11 and a selection of substitutes who may feature elsewhere.
Defenders
PSG have been defensively secure this campaign
PSG have been the dominant force in Ligue 1 ever since they were taken over by Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) in 2011. Only Monaco and Lille have been capable of beating PSG to the title since 2012, so it’s clear to see why Ligue 1 has the struggling reputation it has.
That’s epitomised in this EAFC 25 TOTS Prediction, with every defender expected to be from PSG. Gianluigi Donnarumma will be in between the sticks after another strong season in the French capital; his performance in their Champions League Round of 16 match against Liverpool highlighted his talent. The Italian’s world-class efforts in the shoot-out secured victory for Luis Enrique’s side.
He’s joined by a backline made up of Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Willian Pacho and Nuno Mendes. There’s an argument to be had that Beraldo, or maybe even Marseille’s Leonardo Balerdi, could fit in at centre-back, but PSG have been so strong defensively, especially when Marquinhos and Pacho have been playing, that this is the clear side. Mendes also impressed against Liverpool in the Champions League, nullifying Mohamed Salah with ease.

Midfielders
Cherki breaks up PSG’s dominance
PSG manager Enrique struggled in his first season in the French capital, but now he has made his system click, with the midfield epitomising this. When they previously lacked control, now they dominate matches and dictate the tempo effortlessly thanks to the world-class talent of Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz.
The duo have been regulars for the club this season and it’s helped them soar to the top of the table. Vitinha is still only 25, whilst Fabian is three years older, which means PSG are in a strong position ahead of the upcoming seasons. They’re not yet concerned about a sudden drop-off.
They are joined by the only non-PSG player in this starting 11, Lyon’s Rayan Cherki. When you’re talking about individual brilliance, moments of magic and sheer chaotic beauty, the French playmaker immediately springs to mind. He has regularly been linked with a move to the Premier League, but he has so far remained loyal to the club that he has been at since 2010. He’s picked up six goals and nine assists in 22 Ligue 1 matches, as of the March international break, acting as Lyon’s beacon of hope as they look to secure Champions League qualification.

EA Sports FC 25 Premier League Team of the Season Prediction
Liverpool are expected to have several players included in the EA Sports FC 25 Premier League TOTS.
Attackers
Dembele is a Ballon d’Or contender on current form
The starting 11 returns to normality in the final third. PSG are the highest scorers in the division — with 73, 20 more than Marseille so far — and that’s been reflected in this team. Ousmane Dembele, Bradley Barcola and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are currently considered one of the best attacking trios in the world.
Dembele only joined the club in the summer of 2023, and no one truly expected him to perform at a world-class level. He struggled with injury and inconsistency at Barcelona, but now he is thriving, clicking under Enrique like a reborn man in the final third of the pitch. As of the March international break, he has scored 21 league goals in 24 matches, the most of anyone, whilst that form has also been showcased in the Champions League.
Barcola also joined PSG in 2023 and, after a period of settling in, he is starting to thrive at the Parc des Princes. With 13 goals and seven assists in just 26 matches, the Frenchman has replaced the void left by Mbappe brilliantly. His presence has also helped Kvaratskhelia fit into the club after he joined from Napoli in January.
While Kvaratskhelia has had limited minutes in Ligue 1, it is expected that he is still included in the TOTS after having an impressive start to the season in Serie A. The Georgian is also incredibly ‘meta’ and one of the most well-loved players in EAFC 25 at the moment.

Substitutes
While PSG dominate the starting 11, we have predicted that there will be a plethora of players from ‘smaller clubs’ on the substitutes’ bench. It is unclear how many TOTS Ligue 1 players will be released, but it is all but guaranteed that some will come in packs, Objectives and Squad Building Challenges (SBCs).
PSG still have four players on the bench (Beraldo, Warren Zaire-Emery, Joao Neves and Desire Doue), but the main focus should be on attacking stars Amine Gouiri, Jonathan David and Evann Guessand. They have all excelled this campaign and have been linked with moves away to ‘bigger clubs’.
We have outlined our full predicted squad list as well, with Monaco also having three inclusions in the form of Wilfried Singo, Vanderson and Maghnes Akliouche. The former Ligue 1 champions do not have a squad as strong as previous years, yet they do have an impressive core group of young players.
