Neither Paulo Dybala nor Romelu Lukaku has joined Inter yet, but Roma legend Francesco Totti has high hopes from the pair considered the big signings for Inter this summer.
Speaking to Sky Italia on Wednesday evening, Francesco Totti claimed that the chances of Paulo Dybala joining Roma are indeed narrow. Some time ago, Totti was heard as saying that he would try his best to convince the diminutive playmaker to join Jose Mourinho’s Roma this summer.
But, this time, he admitted:
“Dybala-Roma? I know how it went, I still feel it. It doesn’t depend only on Dybala. If it were only on him, there would be good hopes. Of course Dybala-Lukaku would be a formidable couple, any coach would like to have them.”
It seems as if the desired persuasion did not end well, with La Joya understood to be on the brink of signing his contract with Inter. The Nerazzurri are making progress in their endeavour to re-sign Romelu Lukaku—albeit on a loan deal.
At times, Mourinho‘s club has shown interest in signing the 28-year-old, who will leave Juventus on a free transfer ths summer. But, with Nicolo Zaniolo’s future at Roma undecided, they could not push forward with their interest in the South American superstar.
