Bayern Munich will be boosted by the return of Leon Goretzka and Dayot Upamecano for tomorrow’s clash with Schalke 04, but will still be without Alphonso Davies, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Josip Stanisic.
“Choupo isn’t ready to come back, neither is Josip Stanišić. Alphonso Davies can’t play either. Leon Goretzka and Dayot Upamecano will return to the squad,” Thomas Tuchel revealed at his pre-match press conference.
Back from suspension, Goretzka is expected to start in midfield at the expense of Ryan Gravenberch, while Upamecano will compete for a place at the back.
“It’s about finding an XI that works well together and fits the opponent. Every player that comes off the bench has to bring fresh energy so that we’re able to achieve our goal of winning the title. We’re fully focused on the last three games,” Tuchel added.
